General Profile

Marcia Persaud commenced practice at Fleet Street Chambers in 2008, following 6 years as a tenant at Albany Chambers.

Before being called to the Bar, Marcia had a successful clinical career at UCL Hospital London where apart from her regular practice, she was a medical researcher. With her research team, Marcia published work in the field of Paediatric Endocrinology. Prior to that, she was responsible for Medical Negligence claims for Camden and Islington Health Authority, preparing over 1000 cases for trial. She is currently planning a book on medical negligence in and around child birth. This background provides Marcia with a clear advantage when handling Medical Negligence and Personal Injury cases.

Marcia is an active Advocate in the High Court, Crown Court and County Court. Despite her obvious interest in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury litigation, Marcia maintains a broad criminal and civil practice.

Marcia is still engaged in Medicine, enjoys cooking, travelling and keeping fit. She is currently preparing for her seventh London Marathon in support of medical charities.
