Background

David joins Chambers from a large and well-respected Western Circuit set. He provides high quality service to solicitors and has been congratulated on his ability to build a rapport with professional and lay clients.

In civil matters, he is regularly instructed in small claims trials and has appeared in hearings in the County and High Courts and on all three tracks. He is keen to develop his civil practice and has a particular interest in landlord and tenant, probate and contractual disputes.

In crime, David has experience defending in all types of Magistrates' Court trials and hearings. He has prosecuted for the DWP and regularly appears in the Crown Court on behalf of the Probation Service.

Prior to pupillage David lived in Malawi, doing work on high-profile murder appeals and prisoners' rights, funded by the Criminal Bar Association. He is now a member of the Bar Pro Bono Unit and remains dedicated to undertaking regular pro bono work.
